I hope my campaign has inspired people to raise their expectations of those who have the tremendous honor and awesome responsibility of representing us in Washington.

It is time we all expect more.

If we want change in Washington, we must change the people we send to Washington.

Whether you are working in the grape fields of the East Coachella Valley or own them, whether you are a retiree enjoying your golden years on our world-class golf courses, an artist, a union member, a teacher, a business person providing jobs vital to our community, a contractor building our dream homes, a grandparent, a student, my family or yours – I will listen to you and be your voice in Washington DC.
 
My name is David Roth and I am running for the U.S. Congress to represent and serve everyone in the 45th District of California. Welcome to our website...where I hope you find inspiration to expect more and make the choices we all need to make in November 2006 so that all our communities will thrive.
 
I am running for Congress because the voices of the 45th Congressional District – from Moreno Valley to Blythe and everywhere in between – are not heard in the corridors of power. The majority of the people in this district -- me and you -- are but an afterthought, unrepresented where it counts the most. The duty of our Congressperson - to serve and to lead - has been taken for granted, and…it is time we all expect more.

We all deserve and should expect effective representation. We all deserve and should expect a representative who will listen, who is proactive and will be actively and effectively engaged in the debates, ideas and decisions that affect all of us – not just a person who blindly follows party orders. We deserve someone who understands the complex issues that affect each one of us, our Nation and the world. Being your representative in Congress is an awesome honor -- not a paycheck; a responsibility -- not a social event; a noble calling -- not a pastime.

I will work everyday to earn your respect and your vote...
and I will not forget you, I will not fail you when I represent you in Washington.

    DID YOU KNOW?  Mary Bono co-sponsored heartless immigration bill HR4437, then changed her mind, then said it didn't matter because better legislation would come along. Does her name on a bill mean anything?

    DID YOU KNOW?    Mary Bono voted "NO" on child safety locks for guns.
    DID YOU KNOW?    Mary Bono is on the record advocating for the privatization of Social Security.
    DID YOU KNOW? Mary Bono said "this Iraq war 'thing' will blow over." 
    DID YOU KNOW?    Mary Bono donated $5,000 to her friend indicted Congressman Tom Delay for his legal defense.
    DID YOU KNOW?  After voting for the largest cut in history to our federal college financial aid programs, millionaire Mary Bono is on record complaining that her $165,200 tax-payer-paid salary isn't enough to afford college for her kids. 
    DID YOU KNOW?  In the eight years Mary Bono has been in Congress only three pieces of legislation she ever sponsored actually became law.
    DID YOU KNOW?    Mary Bono voted to ban gay couples from adopting.
    DID YOU KNOW?    Mary Bono sits on one committee - the Energy Committee - yet she accepts campaign $ from oil companies, meanwhile the 45th district has some of the highest gas prices in the nation.
    DID YOU KNOW? Mary Bono is looking for proof she met with voters...her "meet the people" campaign consists of charging $500 to stand next to her in a photo.
    DID YOU KNOW?  In 2001 Mary Bono voted "NO" on raising fuel efficiency (CAFE) standards and incentives for alternative fuel vehicles that would have taken effect a year ago.
